Ramonita Díaz Ayala, PhD
Chief Executive Officer
With extensive experience in electrochemical interfaces and biophysics, Dr. Díaz-Ayala completed her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico with several fellowship awards. Also, as a scientific instrumentation specialist, Dr. Díaz specializes in several types of material characterization techniques. Being the CEO, she is responsible for directing and technically leading the research effort to achieve the goals and milestones of the project.
Carlos R. Cabrera, PhD
President
President and founder Dr. Cabrera obtained his Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry at Cornell University followed by a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Texas at Austin. Currently he is a full professor of chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus. Counting with over 160 peer-reviewed papers, 8 book chapters and two provisional patents, Dr. Cabrera has extensive experience in electrochemistry and biosensor development.
Lisandro Cunci, PhD
Vice President
Co-founder and Vice-President Dr. Lisandro Cunci acquired his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus as well as post-doctoral studies in bioelectrochemical applications. Currently working as associate professor at the school of natural science and technology at Ana G. Mendez University, Dr. Cunci has vast research experience in material engineering, electrochemical systems and biosensors.
Carlos I. Gonzalez, PhD
Secretary
Dr. González obtained his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Rutgers University followed by a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Currently serving as associate professor at the department of Biology and Dean of the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus, Co-founder González, Ph.D. is a great asset to the team providing his expertise in molecular biology.
Nadja E. Solis-Marcano, PhD
Research Associate
With a Ph.D. in Analytical chemistry from University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus, Dr. Solis area of expertise include the development of DNA and whole-cell bioelectrochemical sensors as well as the design and fabrication of microelectrodes arrays.
Sherly A. Nieves Cruz
Laboratory Technician
With a Bachelor in Sciences in Industrial Biotechnology and a minor concentration in Project Management from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus, Sherly has knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Chemical Engineering, as well as experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, academia and start-up companies.

Pedro F. Escobar Rodríguez MD, FACOG, FACS
Dr. Escobar is the director of Gynecologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at San Jorge Children’s Hospital and Ashford Presbyterian Community Hospital. He is one of the fourth gynecologist-oncologists in the island with impressive reputation and expertise in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. He has been an important advisor and collaborator, giving us advice with issues related to improving the implementation of clinical testing.
Aixa Medina Rivera
With a MBA degree from Inter-American university of Puerto Rico, Ms. Medina aids with the market study, business plan and venture capitals.

José M. Martínez Paz
Mechanical engineer with specialty in system design, Mr. Martinez has extensive experience as a process development engineer and manager in Roche Operations where he was responsible for product performance improvement activities, scale-up, transfers, from pilot planning to verification and validation. Mr. Martínez also has a MBA degree from University of Miami School of Business and has direct experience in FDA, IVDD, Corporate, OSHA and financial audits.
Miguel Rodríguez Minguela
Mr. Rodriguez completed a bachelors degree in electrical engineering with an mayor in electronics from University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus.He posses vast experience in implementation and installation of electrical devices, troubleshooting and modification of automatic manufacturing machines. He has knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacture Practices) in regulated industry (pharmaceutical and medical device machinery).

Yildis Morales Ayala
Certified public accountant (CPA) since 2005 and certified fraud examiner (CFE) since 2003, Ms. Morales has dedicated to the promotion of small business development, especially star-up companies. She supplies administrative support to keep the highest compliance standards of the company at a timely manner.
